I'll phone the proper virgin office (611) soon during office hours to report it and to block that caller/scam situation. I'll tell them I googled the number and found massive complaints. Of the same type. It is some sort of phishing scam. Those numbers by the way - I also found out - can be purchased for short periods of time for anything from $99 to much more. This particular number was supposed to be on a 'disconnected' list and so - the page says - 'soon available' obviously for scammers to pay to own the number temporarily.

Every 2 hours.

Complete silence on their end. Calling every 23 minutes

BEWARE: I don't even use virgin mobile and they are calling my work cell!

This is a scam they tell me I have to make a rang men's for my bill when I've have though me calling in and asking them to put 2 date on for my payment and this number keeps calling me at all different times of the day and night ...... they called me at 8:58pm at night to say they need a visa or my phone was getting shut off these people are the beige st scamer ever ..... well after telling them I've made payment days they still keep calling and saying they need a visa or phone was getting shut off when I owe them 48.00 and my due date not until they 19th of every month .....

They call from 8666128483 but never answer.Get 4 calls a day.Have caller ID but having to come to the phone to check it out is annoying.

I thought this was legit at first until I made arrangements to pay Virgin and paid them directly through my bank. The same guy it seemed would still call me every single day, despite having paid. He tells me every day that he won't call anymore, and he still does. I asked for his supervisor and after fiddling around and saying "ok, supervisor" before askng me to be on hold 3 times in a row, he finally put me on hold for less than a minute only to come back and say "there's a technical difficulty that won't let me transfer the call to my supervisor". At that point i told him it would be hard to believe that a company as big as Virgin has the same guy calling the same people everyday on a phone system that can't transfer calls. After I asked him to explain why he was calling every day, despite the payment, he didn't say anything. So I accused him of conducting a scam, and all he said is that if I give him my account id and phone number that he would give me his employee id. This wreaks of scam. I called Virgin and they told me to block the number and that it was indeed a scam. They were willing to block the number from calling me. He assured me that nobody from virgin or their contracted collection agency would be calling me about a missed payment. I guess we'll wait for tomorrow.

Beware I have no Idea who calling. I picked it up and nobody answered and then hang up on me. Also it keeps calling me during my class and its annoying. Please tell me what to do?

I talked to Virgin Mobile about 1-866-612-8483 its not a scam number its there number

This is a scam. They claimed to be Virgin Mobile saying I owed 180 dollars. Problem is, I just got a text from Virgin (their usual method of contact) saying I owed 60. I paid 60 and the people on this number were far to keen to "Help me process my payment"

Be aware and alert, this is a scam! The number for Virgin mobile is1-888-999-2321 & 416 348 1892 ; if you get a call from any other number those are scam calls and they are looking to fraudulently extort money from you. They will send text messages that your account is overdue and then ask you to call a number that is preset to goto their scam headquarters offices; where trained scammers are waiting to prey on your innocence.
First thing you should do is save this number as "Fraud/Scam" on your phone so you can either ignore or disconnect these calls. Don't give them the satisfaction of having taken away even a second from your lives, its too short and they are too worthless for it.
Secondly please remember they can always get another number and try the same trick on you again, So anytime you receive a call from anyone about your account being overdue, hang up ....... look up the number on the company's website and then call them directly yourself.
Awareness is the best defense!

It is Virgin Mobile. I just talked to Virgin's Support using their posted phone number. Support doesn't know why they keep calling and no message left, but he confirmed it is Virgin Mobile's. WTH! Support added notes for me to stop calling from that number, hopefully it works. Very frustrated and annoying, but to be safe, just like others said, don't give away any credit card info and only call their posted number.

I have gotten several calls from that number today & no reply when I finally answered the call. I spoke to Virgin Mobile who confirmed that this was not them.
