debt collection

Just got a recorded call from them today. Left message saying they were collection agency. I have no outstanding debt. I returned the call to just in case to see who I was suppose to owe money to... The guy "Craig Thompson" answered and knew my name immediately without me providing the ID# they had left on the recording. I suppose they have caller ID, but found that even more odd. He then asked for my birthdate. I replied, "I will not give you any information. I have no debt. If you can supply me with the company to whom I owe money and I will handle it from there." His reply was, "We mailed something to you three days ago in a plain envelope." Welp... nothing in the mail today either... seems odd it would take any longer unless it is coming from another country. I really believe this is a scam!
