Message on my home answering machine says he's investigator Jack Decker calling trying to reach Mr. D**** M**** because he has this number as a contact number for that person. (We've had this same number for at least 21 years and never heard of the dude he's looking for.) Investigator Decker left a case number and phone number, requesting a return call. No threats or anything. Actually sounded fairly professional. I guess it's a collection agency or repo company, but he's definitely got the wrong number by calling our house.
I got a call from a disconnected number but the guy left this number. When I called them back I got a recording for a Fraud investigation firm. I spoke with John and he said that my info was involved in bank fraud and was checking to verify the info. I found that someone was using my social number to get credit and buy stuff. I am glad I called him back.
