This number is for a car sales centralized "service" desk. I asked them how they got this number. Apparently if you even call a dealer, your phone number is automatically logged so that they can annoy you repeatedly to ask "Were your needs as a customer met?". I guess anyone who calls a dealership is fair game to them. On Saturday, 10/2, I stopped by a local Nissan dealership to test drive a car. I provided the sales rep with my personal phone number.
I called the dealership directly on Monday morning to schedule a sales appointment. Within a couple of hours, I began receiving calls from this number (one even while I was at the dealership!). No one ever answers and the calls were becoming disruptive. I called them back and told them to cease calling me, remove my name from their list, and reminded them that I had never authorized permission for them to call me. My sales rep was given permission but no one else. Sneaky, aren't they? If they call me again, I will report to donotcall.gov
Took my Ford in to dealership for service and the calls began...cell and home.
It's not only Ford, I've been shopping GM (Cadillacs and Buicks). I'm going to block the number via my cell phone carrier.
No one ever says a word. Just silence and then it hangs up.
Been online shopping for a Ford car and this number calls my cell phone at least once a day. How do I put a stop to it?
