I was told to call this number from someone claiming to be with ScotiaBank -- but when I called the number, it was to claim a free medical alert system. Seems fishy to me....

it is not a scam. it is scotiabank collection department. i called scotia directly and they said that the number.

I use to get a recorded message saying it was Scotia Bank and to phone a different number or they gave me an address in Don Mills. No I get 6 calls a day. I don't answer it is very annoying.
