Called me kind of had the first part of the voicemail cut off so it starts with "(indiscernible) Bank". Sounded real official. Times like these I worry my mother will get a call like this and give them scum her info. People that do this need a bullet right in the face.

it is said that " your bank account is temporally put on hold and if i have already contacted or reported about the problem just ignore it.or call back as soon as possible" I also received the voicemail from 1-866-848-3358 and looked online to see if this is my bank phone no and found that it is just a scam. Please do not call back on this number or give your personal information such as Name, DOB, Licence number, account number, Email Address or SSN.

Voicemail messages to both my husband and my cell phones. No debit cards with M&T. Sounds very official (i.e. no foreign accent)

Yesterday I got a call from them, a few hours after I had been to the bank to try my debit card. I don't use my debit card much and I've had it get deactivated from lack of use before, so I was checking to see if it still worked. (It did not)
So naturally when I got a voicemail right after claiming my debit card had been put on hold and I needed to call to verify it was me, it made a lot of sense. Good thing I looked up the number here before calling.
It was a really well-timed scam. I'm impressed.

I got a Voicemail from them last night and then called again today...I called back and they required a full card number/information to "access the proper information". I don't have M&T! Total scam.

Robo call with anonymous voicemail left me a voicemail to verify account information for a bank I do not use. Instructed me to call 18668483385. Has scam written all over it.

Left voice mail on my cell @ 2:13 pm, on my husbands cell around the same time, on our daughter's cell @ 8:35pm... Said was M&T Bank Fraud protection to call back. None of us have an account with that bank!!!

Said M&T debit card fraud protection...called me at about 2 pm, my husband around the same time my daughter at 8:35 pm neither one of us has an account with them !!!

M&T was extremely nice and VERY!!! thorough in verifying it was actually me! I had to verify all of my credit card numbers, expiration dates, the little 3 digit codes on the back, mailing address, phone number, social security number and my freaking birthday before they could make sure my account wasn't tampered with. Luckily, I'm in the clear! Nah, I'm just kidding. It's a scam. We're going to call the real M&T bank tomorrow and notify them. What's terrible is the phone number, if you google it, shows it's associated with M&T up in Buffalo, NY.

I just got the same call as the rest of you. I guess if people can murder and rob you at gunpoint for money, why not call and scam people for their credit car numbers. Some people can just be jerks. How can these robocalls be allowed. If they have spam filters for email accounts, why not spam filters for carriers to filter out calls? I feel sorry for people that fall for this scam, but the people responsible should be shot!!!!!!!!!

A recorded message about a security flaw regarding my debit card. Left a number to call them back. Hmmmm I don't have a debit card with M&T or even an account with them for that matter.
