866-859-2010 is not US Census Bureau.
I copy the real US Census Bureau phone # and time.

Veronica Cortez identifies herself as a U. S. Census worker. Will not speak in English though she understands everything said to her in English. She informs she has your case number and only wishes to confirm the information on your census form? Threats that one will be fined if information is not offered by Aug. 12, 2010. She was told that information would be offered only after her name and phone number was confirmed by U.S. CENSUS.
CENSUS will be contacted at !-866-226-2864 to confirm if this person is a census worked and that the number she offered is a U.S. CENSUS number.

Something needs to be done as this is a scam and needs to be stopped. The US Census would not call cell phone numbers and ask for information!!
They keep calling asking to answer questions for the census. I already answered these questions. They leave messages and are very persistant with their calls. I have no clue if it's legit or not but it gets annoying when they call at the same time and you're at work.
US Census Bureau number.Beware of fake-sounding requests to corroborate census info. As you may know, Caller ID spoofing is very REAL!!! http://www.fakecaller.com/
