"I answered the phone once. Silence. Since then, 1-2 calls/day. Googled the number. Website has absolutely NO identifying info. Claim is that they "help" new churches get started.

I believe that the Registry Statute is being violated because the caller may be calling on behalf of a Non-Profit...but FOR PROFIT THEMSELVES, thus the apparent effort taken to avoid identification.

There appear to be other persons on telephone ID websites with similar problems.

Also, to clarify...there was no pre-recorded message or voice mail - just the annoying rings. I am disabled, so the calls are a REAL nuisance!

Also, I am apprehensive of initiating an actual interface (to request removal) on the grounds that it would open the doors to additional marketing via sold telephone databases.

I consider this an abuse of the exemption for Non-Profit organizations.

Said they were calling from Mercedes Benz for a courtesy call.

Another scumbag who keeps calling. Called the number and it is not a working phone number. Do not press 1 or 9 or go to the website and give them your number. If you do, they will know your phone number is valid.

This number claims that 1 in 200 people that receive their message are willing to attend a "new" local church that they represent. Yet, if you go to the web site of the phone number, they do not give you an opportunity to see the churches they represent. Seems like a scam.

This organization helps new churches get started. You can be removed from their calling list by going to their web site and entering your number. The site is http://www.866-866-7480.com. It takes them a day or two to remove your name from their list.
