received a call from 8668762156 when I answered they said that it was National Grid and they knew I had not paid last months bill. I knew that I had paid so hung up believing it to be a scam. I called back to see how they answered and they said "this is National Grid" so I hung up immediately suspecting that it was a scam, checked the number on line and sure enough SCAM!

This number called at 10am. I work night shift. Called twice. First female dog asked my phone number and I replied you just called me. She was arrogant and hung up. Balled back and spoke to tonya who asked the same, went to the last four of my ssn and became rude saYing I should.be happy that she made a curtesy call of my over due balance, by one day per her words. I said I’ve never had curtesy calls and I get termination letters, she told me to be g qteful she called and wanted to know when I’d make Qatar payment and I said when you get it, you never worried when my bill was fifteen hundred dollars and your doing favor calls for less than three hundred. Had the balls to ask for my bank account number, then hung up when I told her where is that number on my electric company bill as I was looking at it, slam in my ear. Hello BBB, this number is fraud

We just received 2 calls from these people. No one answers so we hang up. Called the number back and lady answered, "National Grid". I asked why she was calling and she asked for phone number. I gave it and then she asked for full name including middle initial. I asked why and in a strong voice she stated, "We need your information or we cannot continue this call." I told her I didn't trust the call and hung up. Phone number that called us was (866) 876-2156.

Dropped the phone when I picked up so I only heard ...National Grid. Then when I got the phone back they said we have a message for (my name) regarding a payment plan for your past due account. And the thing is, my account IS past due so I was like great I can work something out with them and stupidly put in last 4 of my SS. Then it said "Connecting you to representative," and the call dropped. Called back and got a recorded message saying "You have called after business hours, please call during regular business hours" and the call drops. They don't mention any name or any hours so clearly a scam. And I was dumb enough to fall for it. Hope they can't do much with the last 4 of my SS...

Just received second call in three days. Said is was National Grid, used my name and asked for the last four digits of my Social Security Number. At that point, I disconnected the call. Never ever give out SS# on phone.

Got calls several times from this number. I picked up once and there was nothing on the other side. This number also left me some voicemails and they were just saying something nonsense. I blocked it.

They call every day @ 8;14- 8:28 am Verizon does not allow the # to be blocked if you are in the 781 area code.

i can tell you it is not national grid... they will never ask you for your account info... my husband works for National grid .. he told them about this number and request... its a scam
