We too are getting these calls almost daily. I see where other folks have checked w/Aetna & have confirmed that the calls are most likely legitimate, although annoying & intrusive.

Still, you should NEVER verbally respond "Yes" to ANY call where you are ABSOLUTELY NOT POSITIVE who is calling you, especially when caller id just says "Out of area." Crooks can record & use your response as "proof" that your approved various bogus charges.

Aetna should know better than to use this security flawed approach -- maybe if everyone just hangs up on them they'll get the message....

Getting these calls for over a month. My husband just called the number on our card and talked to a rep. IT IS SPAM !!

Robo call trying to sell Aetna Medicare.

After getting an automated call from 866-887-9741, I called Aetna Member Services to see if the call was legitimate. It is LEGITIMATE and it involves a program called SilverLinks run by HRA Survey that evidently conducts monthly phone surveys to check on the health of Aetna Medicare Advantage members. They can also arrange a home visit by an R.N.,which is relevant to people who don't have transportation or easy access to healthcare. The Aetna Member Services agent helped me opt out of the program so I won't (hopefully) get future calls from this program.

i HAVE THE AETNA MEDICARE ppo AND THE ABOVE NUMBER IS NOT SPAM. i CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NO ON MY INSURANCE card and gave them the phone number and they verified that this is a new maintenance program and the call is legit. However, having said that you can opt out and stop the calls. Sorry about the all caps at the beginning.
