An Indian Male, Kelvin, called my home at 7:22 PM with a spoofed caller ID (706) 805-1237 HARTWELL GA, advising he was from Expert Auto Finance. Kelvin interchangeably disguised this call as a marketing attempt to solicit a loan and a customer service attempt to close an existing loan. However, the purpose of a debt collections attempt remained undisclosed.
On this event, June 2, 2012 7:22PM Kelvin told me that Sandra was prequalified for a loan up to $1500 dollars and deceptively advised that the purpose of the call was to “calculate an interest rate” in response to a preexisting application. Kelvin refused to provide a street address to Expert Finance upon my request. He claimed he was calling from New York but the spoofed caller ID that states 706 805 1237 HARTWELL GA. Because of the spoofed caller ID and refusal to identify, I cannot tell if this is a collection agency or an attempt identity theft especially since the representative lied about the purpose of the call.
