East India sounding man asking for my deceased mother, Mary. Mary never used my phone#. Hmmm sounds like a scam to me! Be careful and be sure not to share ANY information. JUST HANG UP THE PHONE!

I don't know who called and this is the first time i could i.d. capital one. I don't have an account with them but we do get a lot of bulk rate mail.I think they want to consolidate some bills with other card co. Good for me, i don't owe anyone anything.......!

These people at this number have called me asking for a guy Robert Rayburn for the past 6 months, about 3 times a week. I have told them over and over, the man does not live here, never did. I told them they are wasting their time, and it is harrassment. Each one apologizes and promises to make it stop, but it doesn't. What can I do! I'm so aggravated by this! Help!

I called Capital One TWICE and verified that this number does NOT belong to Capital One. If you call it repeatedly, you get the same five or six people. They're trying to steal your information. Anyone on this site who says this number is legitimately a Capital One number is wrong and, may be in on the scam. Go to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint. Let's see if we can get these f---ers shut down... today.

This number always comes up as Toll-Free Call on my Caller ID. If it is actually Capital One then they should have the balls to put their real name on the Caller ID. If it says Toll-Free or Privacy Manager, then I just don't waste my time answering.

When I answered without saying anything, no one spoke, just silence. Eventually they hung up. Have also received 2 calls yesterday from 800 955-6600; didn't answer that one, but from other websites, it, too, appears to be capital one.
