I got this call on my cell, and I'm as well on the DO NOT CALL LIST of course they wanted to know some personal info, I told the rep I was employed and hung up the phone...I have created a new contact for this number on my cell and named it Do Not Answer !

Since I do not answer "800" type calls, I rely on call blocker; glad I did and do!

Recieved the call saying I had applied to start an on line business>Asked me all kinds of ?how old ,money braket I was in,if I was presently working or retired.Then he asked if I had a MC or Visa I said no he then said thankyou for your input goodbye.They called again today saying the same thing I had applied for on line business opertunities I said you called me last week & I do not have a credit card.He said ok & hung up the tely.Maybe they will take me off their calling list,I dont know, we will see.

I have been getting 5-6 calls per day from 866-955-0981 over the last couple of months. Caller hangs up after 4th ring (my voicemail picks up after 6 rings). Usually I don't pick up calls that show up as "Unknown Name" but I did today. At first there was background noise as it would originate from a call center. After I said "Hello" twice, somebody came on the line and identified himself as calling from e-Biz in response to an inquire I supposedly made. When pressed, he would not tell me what I might have inquired about. I then told him to take me off their call list - he said he would but I'm not holding my breath until that happens.
I traced the number back to the US.
I'm on the 'Do Not Call Registry" in Canada but obviously that does not stop scam artists from targeting us from the US. I tried to get on the American 'Do Not Call Register" but that would not accept my area code.
So, short of getting rid of the phone altogether, does anyone out there have any idea how to stop these irritating phone calls?

I have told them to put me on their do not call back list but they continue to call 3-5 times a week
