these people have not texted, but called me about 25 times. This is not the Romney Campaign, but someone trying to get donations for themselves using Romney as the scapegoat. Same happens with nobama. Maybe fundraiser, but no one is ever on the other end when I pick up.
This call said they were calling for donations from the Romney campaign. I said I may donate and the person I was talking to transferred me to another "guy". He told me that I could not donate anything less thatn $10.00. Right then, I was very suspicious and I hung up. I really hope you can find "these guys" and stop them because some people, maybe elderly, might think they are okay! We do not need scam artists, as well as voter fraud people.
Claimed to be Romney campaign donation center and asked for another donation, but resisted my preference to make that donation again via Romney's official, secure web site.
Obvious scam, exploiting public records that contain my name, phone number, donation amounts, etc. My advice--NEVER reveal a credit card number to an unsolicited caller, only via secure (https) web sites you know are legitimate.
The caller never said who they were. A recorded message simply said, "To be added to the Do Not Call List, please press 1. Then I was asked to enter the phone number to be added, which unfortunately I did. Then it just hung up. Now whoever it was has my cell phone number.
