Just received another call from 1-866-978-6938 again claiming a call from Hydro Quebec, since I knew this call was a scam, I then questioned the caller if the call really from Hydro Quebec and asked for proof. She then hang up immediately. The caller spoke in perfect English with no French accent, that made it suspicious already.

she said she is the manager Amy Anderson , 1866-978-6938 xt 4537 , let me pay for $ 1878.86 for the water utilites bill , then I ask the proof , they said whenever I paid them , they are gonna send me the comfirmation email ! then I called City to comfirm , I have $ o balance .
after that they called my bussines phone again , I told them I am not gonna pay them , the lady was scraming !

Just got a phone call claimed to be calling from Hydro Quebec from this phone number 1-866-978-6938, telling me we missed the electricity bill payment that we need to pay up or will cut power. My business is part of metro station in Montreal, the metro pays for electricity use as part of the rent. I brought it up and asked to verify if the call is actually from Hydro Quebec, the caller speaks perfect English without any French accent that makes it already suspicious. When I asked for proof, the caller hung up. Then I called back this number, the same person who called claiming they're Hydro Quebec, I told her I will call Hydro Quebec to verify this phone number, she immediately hung up the phone. I will report this to Hydro Quebec to let them be aware of this scam.

Just got the scam phone call from the same number. I'm located in Quebec. Person speak english saying the same threat. They are active nation wide so it seems.

Just received a call saying they were from NB Power and had a tech sent out to cut power within 45 minutes. Said they'd been sending notifications. Called NBPower and discovered it was a scam.
