"james" called my business stating he was from centerpoint , same as above:
dial ext 127 and it goes right back to the same person
45 min to pay . blah blah blah
hung up on him since i know All my bills are paid

guy named "adam" called my business and said Dominon Power would be shutting off our power in 45 min if payment to 18006939360 ext 127 was not made. I know all my bills are paid so i called Dominion and they said yes it is a scam.

Gentleman with an African accent initially calls from 866-978-7116 and says they are calling from BGE & there is a past due balance that if not paid, will cause service to be interrupted in the next 45 minutes. He then says that a payment of **** (whatever random number he comes up with) needs to be made or the power will be shut off, as the crew is on the way. He may or may not provide you with the address of your location (targeting businesses). He then gives you a number to call (the same one he is calling from, and gives the extension 127. Upon calling, it sounds like the same person who initially called and he states, thank you for calling BGE, this is Frank Peterson speaking, how can I help you. Asked him to verify the address and name on the account and the exact amount due & he got agitated at which point I said never mind, I'll just call the police.
