Caller sounded like a recording - until I asked why they were calling me. Then they said something about a "educational survey and offer". When I asked what company they were with, they hung up.

I believe this is a an info-fishing call - with possible criminal intents. Callers seem to be asking for VERY reasons - many reverse directory sites have them as "an educational survey" AND an offer to recover lost taxes/unclaimed money. It seems to me they are trying to gather personal and financial info - and doing so without revealing the company name leads me to believe they are running some scam, identity theft, or maybe just selling the info they acquire to others.

DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFO OVER THE PHONE - ESPECIALLY OVER A CELL PHONE! Cell phones can be listened to with the correct equipment.

Never say anything into my answering machine when they call it, now calling my cell#.

Have had 3 calls in 4 days from this number and never say a word into my answering machine and they are calling my cell# not my home phone. Tired of this crap.

Called about my education, extremely aggressive wanting to know my personal life. He did not give me a company name or reason he was calling. He gave me a repeated 3 calls back to back. Just give him a legal threat and he will leave you alone.

Called on 8/25/2015. Spoke in broken English. ASKED FOR ME BY NAME!! Said they were with the US Treasury Department and that my household had been selected to receive money (~$166,000) and there would be no taxes. I hung up.
