Call from 1-876-578-4954 with caller ID KINGSTON JM. Said he was from Publishers Clearing House. Wanted to know if I could get a pencil and paper. I told him I had bad dealings with PCH in the past and he hung us.

Caller from the same number had an accent and said he was Mames White with Publisher Clearing House. Wanted me to go to the Dollar Store and buy a $250 card and give him the number. I played him for a while, then he said your wasting my time. I told him he had been wasting my time so we’re even. Then he started some seriously vulgar cursing at me. I laughed until he hung up.

Almost got me the same way. It woke me up in the early morning, so I answered without thinking. He claimed I won a contest and wanted me to repeat back numbers and write them down. He kept using pressure and trying to "reassure" it wasn't a scam. Hung up after refusing to say back numbers.

"UPS" scam: Someone with an accent from Jamaican number who asked if I would be home to receive a UPS delivery A sleepy me made the mistake of saying yes hesitantly. He told me I would need a piece of paper to write down some information. I then said this seemed very unusual, to which he said "whadaya takin' about"...I hung up.

Caller: Jamaican number, a strained voice saying he was from UPS.

Also important to this call, when it rang on my cell phone, a name from my caller list showed up, which was why I answered; I use this cell phone (Trakfone) mostly for text.
