Ask my personal info which I won’t give and told them since they apparently have it why ask. They want confirmation. I replied tell me what you have and I’ll say yes or no . Dummies

Said they were Royal Bank. Went to the bank-they hadn't contacted me. Called the number and guess what? The first thing they asked me was my account number! Gee, wouldn't they know that when they called?

Been phoning me every day sometimes twice a day and always leaving me a voicemail about a personal banking matter. So annoying!

Phony robo-call.
Asks for personal info
Calls multiple times a day EVERY DAM DAY
Displays only as "Long distance" and the #. Never leaves a message. We always ignore it because we know it's scam/fraud and think it's being spoofed. It's ALWAYS someone who can't speak English very well.

They call daily, sometimes several times a day. They need to be removed from the telephone system totally.

I called RBC about this number 1-877-214-5948 and they told me it is NOT belong to the bank. 1-877-214-5948 is a SCAM!!!!

This number is legitimate (as mars 2016), being new Credit Card Automated Alerts service .
I receive more calls from this number and I always hangup. Make some research, the call is legitimate automatic call from RBC visa, as it figure in their official site RBC.COM (here http://www.rbc.com/privacysecurity/ca/alert-automated-call-faq.html#b1)
There are many numbers: for credit cards:
"Our number will be displayed as
1-800-285-6575
1-877-214-5948
1-877-214-5942
or RBC"
for debit cards:
"Our number will be displayed as
1-800-420-4782
1-800-272-9301
1-800-277-6029
1-877-216-5027
1-877-216-5015"
It is a new way to reduce RBC personnel, but also to speed-up fixing account problems, as all processus is automatic. The machine just want to deliver a message, sometimes important. If any doubt, hang-up and call RBC yourself at your usual RBC number. The only problem is, if you don't listen the message, that you don't know if it is urgent to contact RBC or not, as, for exemple, a blocked card may bounce some of your payements (that was happen to me). You may always identify the departament using the caller ID (for instant the current number 1-877-214-5948 is for VISA departament), so call them at your well-known number.
