They called twice this morning. I added them to the blocked caller list (dial *60) provided by my AT&T landline. Too bad that the list allows only ten phone numbers.

I also have an internet phone service from Ooma. They have a great optional feature that blocks calls to my phone from numbers that other subscribers have blocked for reasons such as telemarketing. It is very rare to receive unwanted calls on my Ooma line.

This call came in @ 3:09om on 8/28/2012. The girl said she was from the ACC claimed she was calling to get collections for the children's cancer society. I feel for anyone who's life is burdened with cancer. However, I do not donate over the phone. When I told this person I was sorry that I could not afford to donate she yelled at me and thought I was a terrible person for not donating. Times are tough all over. It's the hard truth.

I dont know if fund raiser calls are immune from the do not call list, but they should be!
I have a early evening sleeper in my household who has to be in bed by 8P. Invariably, I always get these calls in the 8P hour, and usually close to 9P. Why do these fund raisers call so late? I just hung up on them because the person sleeping was just in the next room, and just by speaking to the caller on the phone I would have awakened the sleeper, so I said nothing and hung up. If they call again that late, I am going to ask to be removed from the list, and if that doesnt work, I will be right back here to report it!
