I probably have some debt (in approximately the amount of $6,000 USD), which was left unpaid more than a decade ago. I did pay most of it before I left the country to be with my parents in Hong Kong. It's been 10+ years passed and I'm back in the US for good. All of a sudden, I'm getting someone calling me about some sort of debt. I've never even given out the phone number at where i'm staying. For some great apparent reason, these people found out who I'm staying with and searched his/her home phone number and started calling every single day - leaving messages, being annoying, disturbing and causing nuisance. I've haven't received any form of written correspondences in regards to any form of debt via USPS, Fedex, UPS nor via any form of electronic communications such as e-mail. I believe that they have searched via other means such as social-networking websites - which is inappropriate and possibly violating my rights toward privacy on personal data and information. Not to mention that in whatever debt it may be, it's been passed the time that any personal liability that find no means of collecting, the party seeking the sum of monies should be considered as bad debt? I have no problem if these callers find the appropriate means, such as a lawyer to file a claim against me. But don't come and disturb me and those who are around me, please.
