Same thing happened to me, except I got a private phone call to my parents house stating it was a Daniel Moore a private investigator from the county where I live stating he was calling me regarding a summons and a few court days I had missed. It that even possible??? Anywho, according to him there was a warrant for my arrest if I wouldn't show up to court. So, he gave me a case number and this telephone number. I called and it was a law firm, can't recall the name of the law firm and spoke with a Lisa Davis. According to her I need to pay a settled amount asap or make some kind of payment arrangement by today or I would be taken to court, served, pay my debt by doing time (about a year, according to her) and other court fees. This is the same debt that have been calling me back in December regarding my social security number. Is this even right?

I received a voice message from a Adam Shawn stating very similar to the above complaints. He said that he was hired as a private firm to locate my mailing address and a summons would be sent to me for a signature, otherwise I would forfeit my right to fight a lawsuit against me. First of all, if this was legitimate, I would have been served a summons, as it's been 2 weeks now. Secondly, he wanted to confirm my social # /or a Johnny using that number. I think that if someone wanted to contact me, they would have easily gotten my address as it's not unlisted. I strongly suspect that this is a scam.

I received a phone call with a voicemail message yesterday at my job and she said that she was calling regardin a summons which I never received. He stated that if I didn't call him back I would have to go to court to pay back $3,991. First of all, I was not sent a summons and secondly, she put a Tom Short on the phone and he said that he didn't take money orders or anything. He said that I would need to give him my debit or credit card information or get a pre-paid card. He's crazy. I am going to send this complaint up to the Attorney Generals Office in the state that I live in and see what happens. He said that he was from Johnson Walker law firm out of New York. Calling from 1-877-285-7706.

A guy by the name Tom Anderson called my job yesterday and left a message saying he's calling in regards to a service summons. He also stated that if I did not return his phone calls that I would be arrested by Harris County Police. I think this is a scam, first of all we would not be receiving phone calls, other actions would take place.

called me at work, said I would be served tomorrow with documents regarding a debt, or call this number to straighten out. Is this a scam?
