I got the same call asking me to call them back. At first I thought it was a scam, but after seeing someone said it was really from Evicore, I will call them back. Evicore is the company who does the procedure approvals for Aetna.
Caller ID said "EVICORE". Robocall looking (theoretically) for my husband about some procedure -- but didn't leave a claim number because I didn't hit "1" to say it was him. Not surprised to see that it isn't *actually* Aetna.... Because if it was, they can damned well call him using an actual person at his work and leave an actual message.
Aetna services calling to confirm that a procedure requested by the doctor was approved. The automated system left a voicemail with a case number. I called back and again was an automated system, but gave me the information.
It just happened to me today. My husband received the called leaving message for me with some claim number which I could not write down so I called Aetna and they told me the same thing this number was not theirs.
