Called me about a free government grant for money that I requested. (Of course I did not do this so I wasn't expecting the call.) The guy sounded Indian and there was a long delay on the line when I spoke so I'm thinking the call was from overseas.

I wouldn't give them a thing if I were you. I'm reporting to FCC.

Called right before I got a series of scam calls. Wanted bank account information on a loan I had applied for. I have never applied for a loan and when I said this to them they continued to press for bank information. I hung up.

Loans--they keep claiming that I have applied for one. The live caller was very difficult to understand. Did not seem to understand when I told him that my number was on the "Do Not Call" registry. He addressed me by someone else's name.
