crap...called back and the agent kept asking my personal info. when i refused she hang up on me...totally scam!

never ask for anyone by name. recorded message to call them. .

i called back and the guy asked if i am shawn i said no
then i asked what business the company is into
he said if I am not shawn he cannot give me any details and he dropped the line
that is very bad service

for anyone having problems here's what you do in you live in Ontario. for any other province or state, you have to look into your own law. look for: collections act; complaint against collections company, limitation period. Ontario residents:

you answer the call or call them back. you identify yourself and ask who they're trying to get in touch with. once they identify the person, if its not you they are trying to reach, and you know or are related to the person, you advise that you are the friend, family member, neighbour etc. advise them that according to the Collections Act of Ontario, as you have not guaranteed or co-signed a loan, they are only able to contact you to obtain the telephone number and address of the person who owes them money. you can then decide if you will give it or not (you don't have to). advise them, also, that according to the Collections Act, once they have asked for this information and they know that you are not the person they are seeking, they are not longer allowed to contact you. if they continue to do so, you will contact the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and launch a complaint, and you will contact the police since this can classify as harrassment. finally, tell them that you will commence a Small Claims Court action against Global (or whatever company is calling you).

sending a letter is a good idea if you are not the person nor know who they are calling about.

record all the times they call you and the times that you call them to advise of the above information.

These companies have bought out the loan from the company that was owed and will be aggressive about getting their money back. so be tough.

calling, calling, i hung on only to hear the persons VM is full. and thats been the dance ever since.

they keep calling my cellphone when I call back to them no one answer the phone.

If you get a call from these scumbags, write them using something like this:

They can not contact you by cell if you request them not to. They can not call you if you let them know you are disputing the debt.

This number has been calling my house for days. Its a machine! If they need to talk to me they can put a real person on. Today I called and been hunged up 2 times and you cant leave a voice mail because its "full". And its some Global company

Yes, I have the same experience. I keep receiving the call which is message not a real person and let me call back at this number. When I call back there is no body pick up the phone. I was told there is no more room for message. I have no idea why the company running this kind of business.

I just got a call from a guy regarding my boyfriend. He was quite rude and wanted to know when my hubby was available and I said i didnt know he went to work or wherever. He then rudely asked who i was and whether i live at my hubbys house. i told him no and he asked me why i would pick up the phone if it wasnt my house. Rude bastard. i decided to google this number and found all of this. needless to say we will be blocking this number.

I called them twice after they called my cell.
Both times I asked who I was calling, and they wouldn't tell me.
They stated that they weren't permitted to give me that information until I gave them my information, then hung up on me when I refused

This company calls me constantly asking for Bruce Thompson - no idea who that is. I've asked 7 times to be removed from their calling list. They refuse to give any information on what company is calling and will not put me through to a manager.

I've registered a complaint with CRTC and have informed them that the next time they call I will call the RCMP as this is harassment.

Recorded message wanting a Brenda Darton. Has received about half a dozen calls at all times of the day and evening. My mother has never heard of this individual. I called the above number back and left message to stop harrassing her. They called again today.... What can we do? My mother is 95 years old and doesn't need to be harrassed in this manner. Extremely upsetting.

i keep recieving calls from these people for like the last 3 months they will not leave me alone and then again today they called i didnt answer and then i looked up their number on the computer and i seen all the information you's have on here i called them back personal and said i know all about yous the kept asking me for my inforamtion wish i said i will not give out and when i said i wish to talk to your manager he said why this information is just between me and you i said is your manager their and he said yes finally he put me on hold and went to get the so called manager he came on the phone he said hi _________ like he knew my name already !i said could you stop calling meand he said what is your number i gave it to him and he told me that they would continue to call me. I said well if you dont stop calling me i am going to report you's to the rcmp and they hung up ! so now i guess its wait time to see if they call back this is not tat first time this happed to me it also happened to me from at a different address and different so called collection agency . Anybody have any ideas to help stop these people.! Maybe i should tell them im going to send them some money and i need their information to send it. grrr this is very stressful
