Got a call from these clowns today and after I didn't pick up they sent me the following SMS:

"This message is for your-at-slash(?) internet slash john(?) this is not a telemarketing or so(?) ... call. Our office has made several attempts to contact you without a response. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding this time sensitive important matter please call us toll free

Likely some scam agency trying to get information off people.

This is defiantly Global Credit. I have received calls from this number several times a day, and also about 4 different 905 numbers, and a few unknown calls from them as well. Yesterday they called me 17 times!! I have only picked up once since I'm on a pay as you go phone and it is a long distance charge for me, but when I did pick up it said there was an important matter they needed to speak with me about and to call them back. I never called back. I know it's from a Roger's Bill that was from 8+ years ago. I've tried sending them a letter stating I do not want to be contacted by them any further, but the calls haven't stopped. Anyone have any suggestions??

These guys were calling me about an account that was real old.
You can't expect me to pay for something from 5 years ago!!!
I tried talking to them but they didn't seem to get it.
I googled their company name "Global Credit" and found their website.
I sent a request to stop bugging me. A manager called me back a couple days
later and told me they were closing my account.

Straight onto my MCleaner list on my iPhone. When they call, my phone doesn't even ring. On their end, the phone answers then hangs up. Never having to deal with them again. :D

I got a call from this number telling me i won something like 10000 air miles which i found pretty funny. The guy proceded to ask me about my account and I said the card isn't my daughters card i'm just collecting the points for her, all the man said was "Oh em Bye".

My husband got a call on his cell with the message that its an important matter and they hung up on him. My husband called back and was answered with "Global Credit how may i help you?" and was then informed it was regarding an amount owing on our rogers bill so my husband said "Oh hold on i'll get my wife cuz she takes care of that stuff". When he said that the lady was stumped and searching for her words. When i took the phone I asked her what it was about she repeated it had to do with the amount owing on our rogers bill so I answered that it was bullcrap cuz had we had an issue with a late bill rogers has they're own collection department and they would of contacted me (not my husband) and not her so she hung up on me.

Called and said it "This is an important business matter we need to speak to you about". I hung up and looked up the number and found info saying it was Global Credit.

They are sneaky bastards. They won't leave a message. They're phone number online goes to a website that looks like UPS, so you think if you call you've got a pkg waiting. When I called them, the guy said "hello". That's it, then you have to ask, "I think I got a package?" He said to verify my bday and name, which I did only verify my name. Then when he wanted more without giving me info, he says in a creepy way "Look, this isn't a company like UPS, or whatever you think it is....I just need to verify some things with you."

I said "No, it doesn't work that way. I don't give out info til I know who the hell I'm speaking to exactly." Hang up.

Call them back and say you know its a fraud and that you'll report them to the rcmp fraud line. It worked for my mother-in-law.
