I just got the same letter. I called Chase directly and was transferred all around before getting an answer. I finally just googled the number and found your post, so I let the bank know and they are looking into it.

I got a letter forwarded from a loved one who died a year an a half ago. The account at Chase was closed out a year ago. I was going to call the number on the letter, which states address change was made. If you have any questions, call 877-342-4273. I slept on this and was going to call the next day, until I realized the envelope had no return address with the bank information. I googled the phone number and realized it's a scam. If you receive a letter from a bank, make sure the bank's information and address is on the envelope. If not, more than likely, it's a scam! Call your local branch or stop in and question the letter. Never provide any personal info through a phone contact provided by a questionable contact number. Call the numbers only provided by your bank's official website.
