This is a legitimate call from Syncrony Bank. We have a Business account for Amazon and they called with specific invoice amounts and simply wanted to check payment status.

Got a call last night from 877-433-5001 & didn't answer. He said that someone tried to open an account at Lowe's using my name & to call back within 72 hours. Another scam.

This number belongs to Ana Pimentel and is located in Miami, FL. Has been calling me repeatedly about bill collection for WalMart. I do not have a WalMart account and do not owe funds to WalMart. This is a fraudulent call placed to my private number which is registered on the do not call list. She calls repeatedly throughout the day. I have blocked her from reaching me, but she continues to call.

This was a call from a person who told me I was delinquent in back payments for "something" -- I didn't listen long enough, told her it was "bull___", told her goodbye, and hung up. Did not receive a voice mail, and have not been called since -- I really would like to know how these cretins get our phone numbers?

Fraudulent call. Do not return call. They will call and leave a voice message claiming that they work for "Synchrony Bank" and "Lowe's Business Credit Services".
They will say that someone tried to open an account at Lowe's using your social security number, and to call them back within 2 business days. They further try to add authenticity to the call by leaving a keycode and passcode number to the voicemail, and further asking you to recite that keycode/passcode when you call back their fraud investigation line.

This is a scam! Note: the caller doesn't ever leave his last name or direct telephone line or extension.
