Caller ID said "Social Security Administration". Purposely let it go to VM - no msg left. If it smells like spam, if it looks like spam.....
I just get a call from this number 877-480-4989, saying my SS# was suspeneded because of a suppious use of it.They wanted my full name and my number. I did not give it to them. The number came upas as Social Security. But did not sound right and it was aperson who did not speak english very well.
I got several messages today saying my ss number was suspended. I called the number back but they were closed & that was right after they called me. Wondering if they got a hold of this number but running a scam through it.

Got the same call I refused to give my ss# to them for verification over the phone. But when I called back it really is the SSA but they were closed for the weekend. Now I'm worried will my check not come?
