They left a message on my answering machine claiming they're a 3rd party debt collection agency called Allied Interstate LLC and to please call them back at 1-877-489-5688 and say any information they collect will be used for that purpose. Since to my knowledge, I have no outstanding debt and if I did, no primary creditor like my bank or credit card company has contacted me about such debt, I question its legitimacy and suspect it may be more of an operation of collecting personal information for ID theft purposes. Are they really a collection agency or slick identity thieves?

I received 4 calls and each time the caller's name was impossible to understand. I told her I did not have any debts and to stop calling. I was told my number would be removed, but I have received 3 more calls. My next step is to call the US Attorney and the US Attorney General and file a complaint. i am fed up with scams and crooks trying to scam people every day. I will not hesitate to file a complaint or class action complaint and demand these people are prosecuted to the full extent of the law of my state and the USA. I am a hard working person who pays her bills every month. I want this company to leave me alone or prove I owe money to someone, which they can not do I am sure. Enough is enough. By the way I work for a law firm so they should heed my warning immediately.

Other reports say they are a debt collector but since I have no outstanding debts and no credit cards, if they have my number it has to be a scam. I have received 8 calls on my unpublished cell# on the past few days from these crooks.

They buy old debt for pennies on the $ then try to collect .
