I set up an appointment after several calls from Steve. Robert, the cleaner, shows up for the appointment about 2 hours early (I had asked him to call me when he was on the way). He said he knocked and no answer. I was picking up and removing things from the floor to give him a clear shot and did some vacuuming. I never heard my doorbell. Robert, called about 1 1/2 to 2 hours later and said he had tried to call when there (not when on the way as I asked) but had no cell service. None of my friends have that problem here when outside. I asked if he could come later or reschedule as I had spent about 2 hours preparing for him and now had many items moved or stacked on all beds. He said no, he would not return, and I had waisted his time, and I was being "cheeky" with him (???). Well now I will be cheeky...Robert is a TOTAL JERK and I will NEVER, EVER consider using Green Tree Carpet Care again. David in Laguna Beach, CA

I answered the call and felt weird about a real company making robo calls and only accepting cash or check, I called them back to reschedule and was bullied by the guy calling himself Steve, he made the remark about tossing $25 to $50 more for a oriental rug, no big deal, right? I told him yes it was a big deal and he got overly excited about how he knows his stuff. Very odd. I decided to cancel, who has a legitimate business with no caller ID? Crooks, I guess.

I used this company and they did such a bad job that I cancelled the upstairs rooms I initially intended to have cleaned and sent the guy away. I do a better job with a rented machine!

This is the call back number for Green Tree and Sierra Carpet. They are the same people who have been robo-calling me for years about getting my carpets cleaned. I must have turned them away at the door 30 times now. It angers the guy who shows, especially the ones that remembered I had turn them away before. . .

I am so glad I'm not alone in my experience with so-called Greentree carpet care. I had my carpets done last week. The 'phone' price they had quoted was

Robocall "This is Scott of The Carpet Cleaning Company, now don't hang up..." called us 8:24p on a Sunday night using a Restricted Number for caller id. *insert derogatory name of choice here*

We had Green Tree came out to clean our really dirty carpets and they did a wonderful job for a great price so we don't know why all these anonymous people giving this company terrible reviews. Perhaps they are from a competitor because one reviewer said he or she only responded just so that he could cancel! Another stated that Green Tree accepts PayPal, and we were told only check and cash. Three other people on our block also had Green Tree came out and they were very happy with the service except one said that the Technician was a little late showing up. We just wanted everyone to know that Green Tree Carpet Care was not the best carpet cleaning company that we have used but nowhere near as bad as some of the reviewers have claimed. Even large known companies have bad reviews so it is likely that some of these people did not want to pay because Green Tree has a guarantee that if you are not happy, you don't have to pay so people are just trying to take advantage of it!

You must have gotten lucky. These robo-calls have plagued me for over 10 years. To exact revenge I schedule an appointment and turn them away at the door. Many different cleaners showed up. One came with a machine you can rent from a grocery store. Legitimate companies don't hide their identity.

I also recieved a robo-call for carpet cleaning. I was interested so pressed the button to get a call back. A male named "David" called back to schedule the cleaning appointment something like 2 rooms for $99. He said the business name was "Green Tree Carpet Care". He gave me 877-533-5581 as a number to call if I need to change or cancel the appointment within 48 hours prior to the appointment. I have decided not to use the service. So I called the number and left a voice mail that I need to cancel the service. Giving a 3 business day cancellation notice. We'll see what happens next.

Totally a scam. I got the phone call and thought why not. There were lots of red flags but I ignored them ( call back from private number, calling and never talking to a person, writing the check to the guy, rather than the company, no receipt) One room, the second room, looked worse than when he started. When I called to complain I was rescheduled and twice had no-shows. At this point no one will return my call (Steve/Scott, they sound like the same guy to me) at this point I'm just figuring that I got taken -- Live and learn and then call Stanley steamer .

OMG don't use them!! They come out charge more for the 3 rooms said they are larger than normal rooms so they charge $200 instead of $99 they didn't get all the spots out then they went to the bank with our check come back wanting another was stamped on the back saying it been cashed the guy argued with me until his boss called and said they would come back tomorrow like I asked in the first place! He was late showing up some woman called that nobody seems to know who she is saying that he would be here 9:30-10:30am but the boss said he wasn't supposed to be here till after 12pm. the truck says MCC Carpet Cleaning with a different phone number on it from the company he said he worked for. No the carpets not clean! Will be calling the BBB also!

They did actually come and work my carpet over, which now looks worse than ever, and certainly they are not taking any calls anymore to correct their lousy service.

I got a robo-call for carpet cleaning in Jan. and left a message saying I might be interested got a call back from Steve and told him that I would be interested more toward the beginning of March. Steve called from a Private Caller. They called back in March again from a Private Number and seemed to have good prices and I liked that they called back when I referenced. So, I started to book the appointment and said let me check your references and I will call you back to complete the appointment information and give you my address. They were not found on Yelp and so I looked on google and would you look at that every reference is a warning. So glad I trusted my instincts. Gonna go with the local Carpet Cleaning company that did a great time last time and pass on this seemingly to-good-to-be true deal. Thanks for reporting what happens to you so others can be saved the headache.

This time the robo-call said it was Scott of the Carpet Cleaning Company. Last time it was Sierra Carpet Cleaning (not to be confused with legitimate company near Sacramento). He is registered in Orange County but the address he provided is fake.

We made the mistake of hiring them to clean our carpets and 3 area rugs…the rep SOAKED the rugs…5 days in drying out plus mopping up the hardwood floor. He also chipped some woodwork above the carpet several places, and now, you got it….they aren't returning our calls. BLACKLIST this company, warn anyone who might try them….period !!!

SCAM!!! I received a call to my home number from a private number. A machine giving a special offer on carpet cleaning. Since I've been searching for it, I thought it was very convenient so I pressed number 2 for more information. Next day a guy named David called and upon my request he told me that the name of the company was green tree, that they are located in the city of Orange CA. He sounded legitimate so we scheduled an appointment. End of story, nobody showed up, no call or anything. When I called, a machine picked up asking to leave a brief message. I left the message three days ago and nobody has called back. Don't fall for this scam. I think they are just trying to find easy targets to commit some type of fraud. The only info that Davd requested from me was my address and phone number. But he also asked me about my type of payment. He said they only take checks, PayPal or cash.

They called me and gave me this offer for carpet cleaning and made an appt for the following week. Unfortunately I call them Monday, Oct 5th to cancel a Saturday cleaning. I just received a call from a man confirming Saturday appt....I told him I called Monday to cancel (which I believe is a reasonable amount of time to cancel). His reply, "so, we wasted our time with you" and before I could say another word, he just rudely hung up on me! WTH?? So glad I canceled and I recommend NO ONE even consider them for anything! Warn your friends and family about them if they get any calls. IMHO.....a bunch of losers to treat people this way. Thanks for reading.
