Claims it's Comcast wanting equipment for a service I don't own

Received voicemail from ERS in reference to the return of cable equipment. No name of cable company mentioned. In addition to the phone # 877-592-9023, there was a website given : www.ersreturn.com. checked the website and it asked for the account # that was mentioned in the voicemail plus your zip code. Did not go further. I noticed that the "recovery service" name changed from earlier reports as VSR to ERS. Same scam, new name. Avoid and report. Caller I.D. just listed the call as tollfree call.

Identity Thieves! Received call from 877-592-9023 stating been hired by Bright House Cable to recovery your cable equipment. When tell them do not have they ask for SS#, DOB, Drivers License #, to be able to clear up. If anyone gives any information your identity will be stolen along with your money. DO NOT ANSWER REPORT TO AUTHORITIES AS THEY WILL LEAVE A PROFESSIONAL SOUNDING MESSAGE HOPING YOU WILL CALL THEM.

Received call from VSR recover services representing former Bright House Cable wanting equipment returned. I never have had or wanted Bright House so knew scam. They want information including Social Security number DOB,license number,etc. If you give them any information your identity will be stolen.
