Caller called from an Unknown/blocked number. Caller said his name is Terry Jones from the Process Sums department. Said there is a Civil Case pending aganist me in my county. In order to get matter resolved, I was given 24hrs to contact the plantiff if I wanted this matter handled outside of court. Also stated I needed to get a legal council. Left a case# 172-432 and call back number of 877-670-7356. With all that said, caller used many "catchy" phrases to make me feel that he was in fact taking me to court.

I was told that there were check fraud charges being made against me. They didn't say why or for what. They also said first that it was the summons department, then toward the end of the conversation, trying to scare me I guess, said that they were issuing a warrant for my arrest. They gave me a case number. I've gotten calls from other numbers, also like 910-816-4540 and they always say the same thing, yet give me different case numbers.
i got the same thing on 10/15/12. told me check fraud from payday loans. the names of the companies the loan originated from i had never heard of. they said they caled two references with names i never heard of. when i asked what happened when they called them he said they left messages. when i suggested why don't they call again and ask about me he said the numbers were disconected. kept just saying i had to agree to a payment today or face charges. i told him i wanted to check with my bank. he said okay but i have to report now you refuse to cooperate.
