We were contacted first by email and then by US post and told that our accounts ending in xxx, xxxx, etc were being closed because of suspicious activity. We have no Chase accounts with those numbers. This phone number was on the letter. I called the normal Chase customer support line, and our credit card with them was in perfect order, no suspicious activity, all payments received on time. My advice is not to call the number. If you are uncertain, call Chase's main number and ask them to check your status.

This NOT legit! I received this is in a letter through the "snail mail," telling me I had to verify that my account opened with them was legit. I called the number on the back of my Chase Debit card to verify if this was actually sent by Chase as it seemed fishy, no last four digits of the account number or anything. I was told BY CHASE that NO, this was NOT sent by them!!! DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!! IT IS FRAUD!!

This is a fraud!!! She says she is from Chase Bank and a check is going to send to me . But she needs to verify the right person. So she asks for the PIN number, expiration date and CVV number of my debit card. And when I refuse to give her the numbers she seems a little impatient. Well I remember that do not provide such numbers to anyone. So I say I will go to the bank branch personally and she just say OK. After, I call the Chase bank number on the back of my debit card and ask if that is true. The Chase banker agrees with me that it is illegal and suggests me to change my debit card number.

This is a fraudulent call. I didn't give the woman asking for my personal info anything. Then I hung up and called the number on the back of my card and they said no one from their fraud claims had called me. A fraudulent call can show any caller ID they want. Call your bank direct or go to your branch in person to protect yourself.

It is legit. Though it's scary how much information they need to verify the caller: account number, debit card info, including pin, DOB, driver's license, etc. They may send a temporary code to the cell phone, or call you on the second line for verification.

This a a collection agency posing as Chase bank. This is fraudulent scammers do not call them or give them your information.

This number was given to my by a personal banker at my local Chase branch in relation to a fraud prevention process, so I doubt it's a scam. I was told to call and select option 3.

This is a fraud. They will give you the last 3 digits of your checking and say it is fraud prevention from CHASE. When you call a nice lady will answer and ask for your card number, name, and address....

I hung up and called the number on the back of my debit card... They said it is a fraud. Call the number on the back of your card and find out yourself...
