Scam caller began calling seconds after phone purchased brand new in phone store wrong number that keeps calling all hours. Listed scam.

I have had several phone calls from this number (877-693-5600). One of the calls I let go to my answering machine on 3-13-2015, so I had proof of what they were calling about. Message saying that I had Outstanding Medical Bills and that they could take care of it before it was sent to "Collections".
I do not have any Outstanding Bills. My husband and I both have Very Good Health Insurance Coverages and we ALWAYS Pay any bills in full and on time.
There is nothing Outstanding for us to Pay. This is a scam or plishing.
I had another call from them today 3-27-15 with the same message and same Threat. This is recorded on my answering machine also.
PLEASE NOTE :During my search on the Internet about this number I also found out this info:
1-877-693-5600 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have "spoofed" caller ID.

The person named 'Vickey" said this number is not a valid number or prefix but that is wrong ....
877 is one of the current toll free phone exchanges which includes 800, 844, 855,866,877, and 888.
And the 693 number prefix is also indeed valid as well and is not a reserve special number (555 would be an example of these)
This number is indeed valid so wherever Vickey read that the number or prefix is invalid is wrong.
That said 877-693-5600 is indeed a know scam number used for both travel scams and a dishonest medical bill collector with many reports of illegal non-compliant call activities the owner
based out of Florida.
With what is known about this caller, it would be best advised that nobody speak with anyone from this number for safety.
