I got several calls last week from this same person. Saying the same things as everyone has posted. I also dont write checks anymore. I have not called it back but thats to everyone for the posts. Its helpful. Glad I dont answer numbers I dont know.

I have had many messages on my phone saying they want to verify information on a check I wrote & be sure to ask for Peter. I finally called back and got an automated voicemail. They say to enter the extention or person's last name. Wierd... neither was left on the voive message and it sounded exactly like Peter!! You go to the general mailbox and it is full unable to take new messages! What a scam. I don't write checks... who does anymore. Come on Peter... get a real job. I will keep trying him back though, would love to know what info he thinks he's going to get.

Same as everybody else, local number via my answering service 719 344 2863, Colorado Springs. I called to let them know I am Colorado No Call and they would soon be shut down. %^)

Whoever this is called from a local cell phone number, like I would answer and then left an 800 number about needing information on a check i wrote. Ok, I dont write checks except for my rent and car payment. So i have no idea who this is but they can bite me. and ps PETER i never ever answer my phone.

Peter called around 8 P.M., and left a message saying that I needed to call in to verify some information on a check that I had written. He said that he was from FS & G, and he was verifying information for security purposes. He repeated the phone number, 1-877-787-5582 and said to be sure to ask for Peter.
