One of my co-wokers received a call from ACS. And used the same language and threats as others have posted. I also believe ACS has contacted references and family memebers listed on a payday loan with the same threats of having a warrant issued for my arrest, etc. I will also be reporting this company the FTC.

Hi everyone! I am so nervous and scared. I have never really been summoned to court. The guy states that he wanted to serve me officially however I have been trying to call them back and no one has answered. I've left messages and NOTHING! Am I going to jail? Are you sure they are scammers? I don't know....I've never been in trouble with the law before and I am losing sleep and my appetite as well...I need help please..thanks alot!

I received the call back in December that was threatening to take me to court and that they where going to serve me. I called back talked to a nice lady told her i would call her on Monday. For the next 3 days i received calls from "process servers" who told me they where going to have me arrested, embarrassed and that they would serve me at work . I finally was very tired of it and informed the person calling they where welcome to serve me just let me know WHERE to meet she said they would be there in 2 hours nothing. Once they where going to send a sheriff i asked them to let me know when so i could be there again they said 2 hours NOTHING. I reported the information and the recorded messages to the FTC and the local attorney general.


I called the number again and asked for a verification of debt, when they asked for my email i refused and asked them to fax the details on 1-2-2011 as of today i have not received any information not i have received the phone calls when calling them back they tell me "they will send it' or they "have sent it" and must of had it lost at work but when i inform them i have EFAX they say they will fax it again. So as of today 1-24-2011 i have not been served or received any verification of debt.

I am concerned this may not be true.. or Michigan may be projecting me with their laws..

THE CALLER ASKED IF I WAS SERVED COURT PAPERS YET? AFTER MY RESPONSE OF NO, THE CALLER STATED, " IF I PAY 586 TODAY VIA CREDIT CARD OR GREEN DOT CARD TODAY OR IN PAYMENTS THE COURT ACTION WOULD STOP. I STATED,"I COULD NOT TODAY" BUT THEN THEY ASKED FOR $50.00 TO SHOW A PAYMENT FOR THIS MONTH. I ASKED FOR DOCUMENTATION ABOUT THE DEBT AND THEY JUST GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER FROM THEIR OFFICE. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT ETC AND THEY DID A SEARCH IN BOTH CIVIL AND CRIMINAL CASES. I HAVE NO RECORDS AGAINST MY NAME! THE CALLER STATED, SHE WOULD SEND AN EMAIL THAT WAS AT 3 PM FRIDAY. I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF ACS GROUP!

TheThey are scammers. if you look Under Treasury department of your state, see if they are allowed to collect in your state. if they don't have a surity bond they can't even call you.
They said that they were going to put me in jail for the same thing.
