they just called me saying that i have a bad payday loan out there from 2007 and i dont i told them it was paid off gave them the number to the company they called me from 877-847-6666 ext 1009 this name is tony

very fraudulent and of they were in fact real, the customers service skills would be up to part....calls me for someone else I don't knw.

Caller was Natasha Born, claimed she was calling from Federal Recovery Group, phone 877-847-6666 ext 1004. Advised me they had a check fraud case with my SSN. This was for a payday loan I had three years ago, which I paid. The company Ace Cash Express accepted my cash, but still deposited my check the next day. The check was returned to them as insufficient, but I took the receipt to the company the next week. They apologized and said everything was OK.

In the next two years I received calls from other collection agencies, phone 866-812-3874 and 866-599-5783 saying I still owed for the returned check and I was going to be arrested if I did not pay them immediately.

I have requested they mail me a letter with their request for money, but have received no written correspondence.

I have provided receipts to the manager of Ace as well as two other collection agencies and then I receive a call from a third collection agency.

It's been over three years since this all started and I am at my wits end as to how to stop these people. Even though I have provided proof of payment three previous times, they keep passing eroneous information to yet another collection agency.

Any suggestion?

It started with them calling me with a check fraud and I never answered them and now they have started with me that I owe for a payloan that was paid 3 years ago twice cause I got scammed from a company just like this one and now they are calling about a payday loan that was put on my bankrupty 2 1/2 years old. I told a Agent Langford that it was put on there 2 1/2 years ago and he told me he would note that on my account but they still keep calling. I have blocked every number they try to call from and they keep calling from different number constantly!! I'm so sick of it!!

I have recieved two calls from this number, one yesterday and then another today.Two different callers. Both looking for someone who does not live here. 1st left a message about a bad check and better call before they issue a subpena to his place of businees or maybe even to his home. The second was to collect a debt and left a number 877-847-6666 X1013

Recieved call from an Agent Jonson said that she had a case of check fraud pending against me in Harris County and if I did not respond it would be forwarded. First of all they cannot threaten with criminal action in the collection of a debt. Secondly, they said that they were merely a mediator. I am sorry but I have never heard of a mediator that does not consult with the client before making threats like that. I asked for proof and they refused. This is a debt collector disguising themselves as something else. It is against the FDCPA to make collections efforts in this manner. I just want proof that who I am paying is legit and has acutally bought the debt. That is all.

In Texas, the law states specifically that a payday loan company cannot file charges against you for a bad check. That applies to all pay day advances, including ACH (where they debit money from your account automatically). Besides, Officer Johnson is a sammer. DO NOT PAY ANYTHING!

Some guy called and said it was important and that it was regarding my social. I called back and talked to a lady who talked so fast that I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. They said it was regarding a pay day loan. They gave the name of a loan that I had taken out in the past do i thought it was leginitmate. They refused to send me information about the loan. I told them I would pay it if they can prove to me that I owe that debt. I had three loans inthe past and never took out more. I have already paid three of them and now another is calling me. I told her I don't know who is legitimate and who is not so she needed to send me some paperwork proving the loan was mine. She said she would and I made payment arrangememnts with her. 12 hours later no email with the paperwork. I cancelled the card that I used to make payments. No proof equals no money. Prove I owe it and I am more than happy to pay my debt.

some lady named nicole jackson saying they are from federal recovery group something about potter county and i have never heard of that county. how do we get these calls to stop? annyoyiing and harrassing...

Potter County is Amarillo, which has an 806 area code. Nicole Jackson or Johnson (she forgets who she is sometimes) is a scammer.

lady called and said she had a case against me that she was sending to harris county if i didn't return her call they have called for about a year now also some man who spoke little english also called and said he was with the vegas pd and that he was going to call the police????? hum never been to vegas.

Miss Elliott called from FRG and said that she had a case of check fraud with my name and that if I did not respond in 48 hours, she would forward the case to my county court... but my name has changed and I have lived in a different county for 6 years...I did not return the call

Keep getting calls from these dudes. It takes them 15 to 20 seconds to pickup the line after I answer, obviously a computer dialer called. Any idea how you get rid of these morons?
