Samething! I did not return the call they called my husbands x-wife looking for me! Left a long message with my son. God I wish they would just stop!!!!! Serve me the dam papers and lets got to court!

Jonathan Rogers from Barrett Smith & Associates left several voicemails stating that he was coming to my house or place of employment on Nov 11. Did not show up. Have also been calling my mom and telling her that there is a claim against me. Won't tell her how they got her number.

I had the same thing as livein76@gmail.com. I had this guy on the phone saying the same thing. The person that called me was a Ms. Matthews and Barrett Smith and Assoc. never heard of her. What a joke.

They called me last week but from a different # even though this number still works I just get different people when calling both. It was the same situation Mr. Grey would be out to service me at home or work, he left a claim # and to call 8778935966. When I called no one knew who Mr. Grey was and it must be an "outbound call from their courier department". Well first of all only officers of the law can serve you with a summons and the guy I spoke to "Christian" said they had a pending claim against me for check fraud, stating I must have took out a loan then closed my bank account without paying Ace Cash. First off I actually have a loan out BUT I called them and the lady remembered me and said I only had a payment agreement and I asked her did she have my payment history and she said yes. I always paid on time but I lost my job and was unable to make the last payment. She also said my account was sent to a collection agency (and she gave me the name) and that she'd never heard of Barrett Smith &
Associates or dealt with them. I also called the corporate office to confirm this and was told the same thing. I have filed a complaint with the FTC & BBB (who are useless as last yr foreigners were calling my phone and now I'm beginning to think they sold to my info to these new crop of scammers). The thing that bothers me and why I have a .5% inquiry is that these people are Americans claiming they are a reputable company, but things just aren't adding up. I am currently 8 months pregnant and they scared the shit out of me so I stupidly gave them prepaid card info and set up a payment plan which they emailed to me but it looked cheaply done. I did all of this BEFORE requesting the debt in writing and even when I did that "Christian" acted as if we hadn't spoken 2 times over the phone. They also called one of my friend's looking for me but she didn't give them any info and it was from an unknown #.

I called them back today and used a claim # and it was somebody else. These fools stated that person's name, address and then put me on hold as if he caught himself but then continued. I obviously didn't know the last 4 of the social so he wouldn't go any further but he was tripping over all his words. If anyone has recently been contacted by these idiots please email me at livein76@gmail.com so that we both know we are not alone. I am pregnant and don't need this stress or harassment in my life.
