Someone left a voicemail saying they were from Fidelity. Logged into Fidelity and I had no messages. Unless you are treating on margin a broker like Fidelity will never reach out to you wanting your social security number. This is a scam other comments saying this is legit are part of the scam

I confirmed by calling Fidelity direct and they verified the person that called was indeed a Fidelity person and that they are now trying to contact us once a year to make sure our investments are up-to-date and investing in the way we wish them to. 'Kind of like having a physical every year at the doctor one guy said.' This is a 'check-up' for our investment.

Received a call from a 603 402 5050 number that left this number (877 902 0006) as a call back number in a voicemail. The caller, claiming to be a Blake Webster from Fidelity, said he was notified of a recent change to an account with a former employer and needed to follow up. He knew my first and last name. I called the real Fidelity customer service line and was informed that 877 902 0006 does not belong to Fidelity. This call was most likely a spear phishing attempt.

Probably fidelity. I’ve received messages from them before. But on returning the call, they ask for ssn. Over the phone after a cold call. This is a very stupid business practice. If I talk to fidelity, I really need to talk to someone smarter.

These complaints are strange; this phone number is legit just Fidelity's workplace planning advice department. You can call Fidelity's main phone number to confirm.

The people claiming this is a legit fidelity number are more than likely part of the scam. These people are not with Fidelity. It is a scam. They're looking to steal your identity. STOP THE STEAL(ing of your identity)!!!

This was legit. I called Fidelity direct. This call was not scam. It was verified my account.

Total Scam! I got the same today. The message was broken up. Fidelity investments customer service no. is 1 (800) 343-3548, as noted on the Fidelity website. Be careful.

Caller: Can't hear the caller name clearly in the message. Staticky and the caller had accent.

I got a call from 877 902 0006. Caller identified himself as Alexander from Fidelity, wanted to do a financial review on my 401K plan. Don't know if this is a scam or not.

No one should give out their full SSN or ID to any financial acct. Total SCAM.

The caller was 603-402-5050. He left a message to call 1-877-902-0006. I called both. The first was a cell phone number. Both voice systems have the same recordings. Please enter your SSN or UserID and Password. Has to be a SCAM !!!!

Caller named Bruce C., from "Fidelity Investments" left a message on my cell. Said he was calling in regards to a 401K I have with them. Wants to go over plan options with me. Message was also broken up and difficult to understand. Left 877-902-0006 number to call back. On calling that number they answer by asking for your Fidelity username/password or social security number. SCAM Alert!

Just to put some people's minds at ease, I just called this number and spoke with a representative, and then I called 1-800-Fidelity and verified that indeed the prior call was to a Fidelity representative. So in my experience this is indeed a number for Fidelity.
