Definitely not spam, at least when I called 2023-May-29. I called the number and spoke wih "Lewis," who kindly guided me through my PayPal credit application. Oddly, the code number indicated in the initial (computerized voicemail) call was not needed/not asked for.

This is NOT a scam number. I applied for PayPal credit and they needed to verify that it was actually me who applied because I have a fraud alert on my credit. They just wanted to know my name and last 4 digits of my social. Nothing more specific. She said i would receive an email very promptly from Paypal Credit concerning my approval…. And I did get the email 3 minutes later from PayPal. (Yes, I checked the source of the email).
