DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICES left a voice mail with my name, asking to call 8882049676 with a "confirmation" number. When I called back, they gave notice of recording the call. I asked what was this about and the lady said it was a litigation firm. I told her that the previous call was misleading, to which she answered "no, it s not". I told her the call was also being recorded on my side, to which she responded she didn't authorize the recording. Then I told her I did not authorize they contacting me again.
Beware of things like these. My son works as an investigator told me this type of procedures are scams, since the only real serious firms to approach you, like the IRS, would never call you, and always leave a paper trail, with letters sent before they ever summon you for any reason.
If anyone knocks at your door to serve you with a subpoena or a summons, that person needs to produce a License as a Process Server. Make sure to take a picture of their ID with your phone and verify their existence.
Nowadays, with so much stress going on, these roaches add a lot of turmoil to our lives. They should be chased and prosecuted. Just my 2 cents.
Received call from “Rick” who didn’t give a company name stating he didn’t receive my signature on a document therefore I need to have my counsel contact him be end of day. Who the hell are you and why won’t you state your business name?? So annoyed!
I received a call at 1:35 PM, from 888-204-9676, they asked with my employer if I was in, that they had a doc. for delivery referencing a civil suit and that someone was there to serve me papers. They left them Doc#, etc. My employer came and got me, I called the number back and spoke with someone named Jim Elliot, he said I owed $28,000 from 2004 and that my paycheck would be garnish from a civil suit. How much could I pay right now to stop from being served. I told them to not call me again at my job or come to my job. I later looked the number up and found this! This is crazy!!!!!
They just called my job and asked for my supervisor. I told her I am the supervisor of the person she was calling. She went on about documents and how they needed to be served and she didn't want to disrupt the workplace. I said I will give her the message, she is not in today, so course I googled the number as I have been scammed before.
Received a call from these individuals asking for information about someone who shared my last name but I knew no such person. When I asked for clarification, he asked "I thought you said you didn't know him?" When I asked how they got my private number they hung up. Something wrong about this in so many ways.
