It took me a while, but after about 4 days of them calling about 5 times a day I was able to talk to someone - of course only when they called me. For me it was a response to my interest for education grants - it may be a generic number for a telemarketing center. If you have ever clicked a pop-up or filled an online survey, these calls may be because of that. The best way to stop them, or any solicitor, for that matter, is answer the phone and ask to be taken off of their list. If they keep calling you after that, you can actually sue them. I unfortunatly used to do this for a living, so I. was well informed of consumer rights in that regard.
