Didn't get that far, tried to tell them I wasn't interested right off the bat. Every time I asked to speak to their supervisor, they hung up on me.

I recieved a call from this number today. They told me only to verify my online company information but at the end told oh, ya $ 5.00 a month to continue having your information listed. These types of marketing companies are simple bad business.

Google SEO spam/telemarketer. They did not speak the best of English, and from what I gather all they did was look at the first page of my business web site using it to try getting me to agree that by 20 key words they could put me on the first page of Google. I don't believe Google can be rigged just by key words or that all businesses can be placed on the first page. They tried to rebuff me with demanding to know then how I advertise my business and that they only pick 1 business from each industry to target and do this with. Sounds like hogwash. Since they were persistent, female, and didn't understand no they were hung up on.

Publishing information in an online directory. No specific information on the business name or company type given. Very possible an identity acquisition scam.

Caller identified herself as calling on behalf of theWhite/Yellow pages. She mentioned a FREE ONLINE AD that I had just placed with "The Bartertown.com" and said that for the sum of $5.00 per month, plus a 25 cent charge for each response to my ad,, I would receive priority placement of my ad in the listings.. When I asked her if this meant I had to pay an extra 25 cents for every hit on my ad, the call was disconnected.. When I used *69 to call back I was told that this number cannot be reached. I hope that I've heard the last of this.

Got a call from Amy, who had an indian accent. Said she wanted to update my free business listing with US white pages. She had my business name and old address. I didnt update my new address but gave her my new phone number. She said she would also list my website on there website. After telling her my website i asked her to repeat it and she said something totally different. I know now I made a mistake. There probably gonna sell my info to someone.

I notice every time I have logged on a site called hotfrog.com business directory. Which I am using the free service to prompt my business. I start getting the call trying to get me to sign up for yellow pages or the white pages service.. That is where It is coming from for me. So I believe there are other free sites they are connected with, you might be logging on to.

Caller asked for business owner -- gave my company name -- and offered a 'free business listing' and I asked for the name of her company. The caller identified herself with "The White Pages." I stated that I was not interested in information about the promotion. The caller said, "You're so stupid!" and hung up.
