When I called back from a different phone, the person answering the phone said, "IRS investigations. What is your name?" I replied, "May I please have your name?" The reply was, "My name is Sam Cruz, Director of investigations. Thank you for calling." Then he hung up.

Again. The original call was to my landline (CA) on 7/10/16. I returned call on 7/12/16 from my cell (TX).

I tried researching the number from my cell and came across your App. The IRS number for reporting scams and verifying employees is 1.800.366.4484

The suggested form is IRS form 14157 or 14157-A.

IRS Scam, they send you a registered letter and never call you

Recorded digital message that claimed tobethe IRS and threatened tosue us for fraud. JUst left message on answer machine. WE couldn't even answer the call before it went to recording. I was dumb enough to call the number back, and of course call didn't go anywhere, got nothing.
