This is a SCAM call. They claim to be from BofA Fraud Dept. I called Bank of America directly and asked about the call requesting me to verify some information about myself for a requested transaction. When I called Bank of America directly and talked to their Fraud Department, there was no fraudulent activity regarding my account. They said the call had not come from them and the caller was most likely a scam.

This is NOT a scam. It is Bank Of America's Fraud Department calling to verify a credit card application. In my case my ID was stolen a month ago and that person has been trying to obtain credit cards in my name. Their callback is also 888-230-6262

Called the ACTUAL Bank of America Fraud Dept, they told me that this isn't their number. Scammers for SURE!!!

This was a legitimate caller. They called me about a credit card application I had filled out yesterday. I compartmentalize my information...so info I would have used for BoA is different than I would have used at Chase, for instance. I am a BoA account holder, and the Fraud department had personal information, and information that I have not given anyone except BoA. If it was a scam call, they would have had to have hacked BoA between the time I applied for the credit card, and the time they called me. I'm going to have to call this legit.

Scumbag bank info phishers even leave positive ratings on these web sites. Always call the number on the back of your bank card to report or verify bank fraud.

It is not scam. It is legit Bank of America Fraud Department. I was concerned, so I called BoA Customer Service. They were so helpful. Fruad has lots of phone numbers, so Customer Service called the number, and they spoke with the other person at 888-231-6262. They have a secret handshake they can do to tell if the other person is a legit BoA employee. It was confirmed without a doubt that the 6262 number is legit, and Customer Service even patched them into our call, and then left the line. Of course, just because caller ID shows 6262 is calling you, that could be faked. But if you call 6262, you will be fine. I guarantee it.
