Not event bank!!! Not getting my card #

I got a call from them today too, I didn't answer and they left a message saying there was a hold on my account and I need to call back to lift it. I wish a person had called and not a robot, I love messing with scammers and telling them off!

I thought they said NBT bank, that's why it got my attention because that's the bank I use. When they asked for my 16 digit debit card number I was like um no nice try

Don't even have account with M & T.

Claimed to be M&T bank. "Automated system" on callback wants debit card number typed into the phone to proceed. Rejects "0", *, and #, and repeats loop 3 times then says "please call back with a valid card number" and than hangs up. Is definitely bunk, especially as I'm not an M&T customer.

still out there. Got a call at 5:30 pm 6/20/15. Didn't answer. Surprise, they didn't leave a message.

My husband and I both got this call today. He just looked up the address its coming from. It coming from 999 Broadway St., or 999 Broadway, Buffalo NY. Scammer. Lol, idiots, we don't even have a debit card!! Guess we better all call M&T and let them know what's going on.

Received call at 3 pm 6/20/15 - same thing of M&T card may have been compromised. Called, but Hung up when a computer answered and wanted my card number. Will call the bank when customer service is open tomorrow. Nothing strange going on with my online account and have it set up for another form of alert that did not happen.

Yes as M & T Bank. Asked my husband for our number. Shocked he tried to give it to them. Thankfully he just got a new phone and couldn't figure it out. He's a smart guy but I was surprised he fell for it. Luckily he called me before he got any info through.

Me too! Asked me for Card #. They already had it. Went to on-line account all was well. Nice try!!!

got the same call and said if I was outside us call a local 716 area code #. Scam Scam Scam

Called me saying my card has been stolen. Yea I don't have a card through M&T

Called the number back and it said was M&T and I needed to enter my card number to proceed. I tried hitting 0 and # and * but the only option was entering my card number. Duh! I googled the number and it isn't associated with M&T, so I called M&T and they said it is a scam they are aware of.

voice mail claiming to be from M & T bank's fraud dept that they are putting a hold on my card unless I call them back to verify. I do not have an account with M & T and am on the do not call list, and yet they call.
