My girl friend got the call put her info in ,I asked what she was doing ,I was like are you crazy!!!!!! Had here call the number back to press 0 for customer service nothing, she looked at me like its a scam!!!i told her to call m&t 20 minute wait because of hundreds of people calling in, I told her when the wait is that long it gives time for the scammers to drain account on interact net charges ,lucky they didn't and got here card # changed and new card in the mail ,she learned a valuable lesson today,m&t will never contact you on the phone fr any account problems NEVER!!!!

Said M&T Fraud dept. Had to enter card number to speak to customer service

Received call stating that there was fraudulent activity on my account and to enter my card number. I called M&T back directly and they stated this is a scam and they have received a ton of calls today about this.

I just received the same call as well. Claiming my debit card has hold placed on it and to call them. Scam!!!!

Claimed to me mandt with hold on debit card. Not an mandt client

Computerized message claimed to be M&T Bank, asked for a credit card number. I don't have an M&T Bank credit card.

I too just received a call from this number stating it was M&T bank and a temporarily hold was being placed on my account due to fraudulent behavior and upon verification the hold will be lifted. I do not have any account with an M&T bank and there is no suspicious activities in my real bank account. I have no idea what this about but it's crazy frustrating. It seems like a scam to be

Received a call claiming to be M&T Bank and saying they'd detected fraudulent activity. When it asked for my card number I hung up and called M&T, which said there was no fraud alert on my account. Definitely a scam.

Same number just called, claimed to be M&T bank recording. They always call personally. Lots of bank fraud calls these days. ALWAYS use the phone number on the back of your card. NEVER the one they say in recording.
