Accidentally typed in hbonow as hbownow and got their bogus notifications. Doesn't seem as if the machine itself is infected only that particular url.
Typed a wrong address. This threatening message came up. Told me to call this number. Called it and could hardly understand the "tech". When je said he. Had to scan my computer I told him I'd call him back. Hung up and used Task Manager to end task
I was trying to play chess and aborted a game. The site blocked me, telling me I had aborted too many games. I tried to log back on and got a page telling me something was wrong with Windows 10 and I should call Microsoft at the above number. I spoke with a tech who said if I gave him access to my computer he would help me fix the problem. I told him I didn't trust who he was and I would call him back (I didn't.)

I also had a similar experience. I clicked on a link on Pintrest and this site with warning bells locked my computer saying my Windows 7 was locked by Google Chrome and Comcast. When I called this number listed as getting it unlocked, I asked who he was and he told me he was a Microsoft Tech and I needed to give him remote access to my computer. I also said I would call back (I didn't). I had 4 Windows open and NONE would close. Had to uninstall Chrome. Took about and hour to fix my computer. I also blocked the number on my phone.
My entire computer shut down with a one note sound saying G5y493f.Tech has blocked your ip because of (i'm paraphrasing here) a clash between Windows 10 and Crome. Whenever I tried to close it out it disappeared then reappeared saying I should call Time Warner (my internet company) at this number 888-242-4745. I called my regular Time Warner Customer Service number and they stated that it was a spam and helped me get reconnected again. They said I should have immediately shut down my computer and called them. Just wanted to pass it on.
