I have been receiving those phone calls for a week (including Sunday). I don't pick up unknown calls- a few times they left a message that they are calling from Synchrony Bank - the one that bought out Gap cards. The call in regards to my Gap card (I have one) The call is automated, and I have been unable to connect to a real person. I called Gap - they said they did not know why I am receiving those calls. When I googled the address given - it is the correct one for this bank but as I have zero balance I am surprised they are calling me. It looks like they call the customers in order to sell something.

888-248-3182 call me 3,4,5,6, sometimes 7 times a day. I called them a month ago to tell them i'm not the person they are looking for. the woman said it would take a few hours to be removed from the call list. that was a month ago!! and they are still calling me multiple times a day. i am on the phone with them right now talking to someone by the name of Adam Williams who also said he has removed me from the system. I asked to speak to a manager and am now on hold - we'll see how long they keep me on hold...its already been 9 minutes.

UPDATE: After asking to speak with a manager, they put me on hold with them for over a half and hour. When Adam Williams came back on the line I told him I was not going to get off the line until I received an email from them stating in no uncertain terms that my cell phone number was removed from their system. Then he put on hold AGAIN. When he came back he offered me a mailing address that I could write to complain. I AM LIVID. I don't want a stinking mailing address. If they have the technology to call me 5 times a day, surely they can provide me with written proof that they've removed me from the system. It's now been 37 minutes!

UPDATE: AFTER 4O MINUTES, I was finally able to talk to a manager. His name is RONNIE WILSON. If you receive these harassing calls, CALL 888-248-3182 and press the STAR KEY until you get to an operator. Then ASK FOR RONNIE WILSON. We'll see if it actually works this time. In the meantime, DONT SHOP AT THE GAP OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATES!!!! THIS IS HARASSMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call claims to be from a credit service; requesting credit card numbers and social security number.

This seems to be a scam artist number to me. On my caller ID it shows up as 678-518-2880 . but has me call back at this number on this page Very suspicious. I just got notified that unauthorized charges were made online to my check card # and now these have started up within a few days of that happening.

This number called my cell phone a bunch of times today and yesterday. They leave a recorded message saying it is GE Money GAP card services and I am supposed to return their call at 1-888-248-3182 or log onto their website gap.com/gapcard (which doesn't exist?) and click on 'my account'

Trouble is I don't have a Gap card OR an Old Navy card, or Banana Republic, Piperlime, Athleta!

I have been getting alot calls from them in the past week or so and I too have no card with them. I did call them to get them to take my number off their list and talked to someone in person. The trick is you have to keep saying "Operator" when they ask for the card number, then also when they ask for social security number. You will have to do this 5 or 6 times. Do not give them your ss# whatever you do. This does sound like a scam.
